Quiet time

A comic strip in four panels. 1: In the living room, Mom stands alone with a steaming mug of tea, eyes closed, smiling, and thinks: "Ahh. Peace and quiet." 2: Pip walks in beaming, holding up a big pink crayon, and says: "Don't look on the wall in the hall." 3: A close-up of Mom, eyes wide, mouth in an O, turning toward the hall. 4: A close-up of Pip, beaming, her big crayon at her side: "It's a surprise."
She's 3. I hadn't heard a peep all morning.
