Cookie notice

Version 2.0In effect from 15 October 2026

In short: Our websites set no cookies and run no tracking. There is nothing to accept and nothing to turn off.

What this covers

In short: wamemba.me and the Wamemba me app.

This notice covers our website, wamemba.me, and what the Wamemba me app stores on your phone. The law calls all of these "cookies and similar technologies": small files a website or app saves on your device, or reads from it.

Our team's internal site, insight.wamemba.me, is not for the public. It asks for a team password and sets no cookie. You never need to visit it.

Our websites

In short: No cookies, no analytics, no ad pixels, no fonts or scripts from other companies.

  • We set no cookies.
  • We run no analytics and no advertising or social media pixels.
  • Our fonts and images come from our own server, so loading a page doesn't tell another company you visited.
  • When you join the waitlist, your browser sends your email address straight to our database (Supabase, in London). That doesn't set a cookie either.

Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address, for a short time. These are not cookies. The privacy policy explains them.

Because we set no cookies that need your consent, we don't show a cookie banner. If that ever changes, we will update this notice and ask you first.

The app

In short: The app keeps what it needs on your phone to work. Analytics wait for your yes where the law asks.

The app saves these on your phone:

WhatWhyDo we need your consent?
Your sign-in, in your phone's secure keychainTo keep you signed in to your own accountNo: the app can't work without it
Your sayings and children, and a list of changes waiting to syncSo you can save a saying with no signal, and never lose oneNo: this is the service you asked for
A note of which account this phone uses (never a password)So the app never makes a second account by mistakeNo: needed for the service
Your analytics choiceTo remember your yes or noNo: it records your choice
An analytics identifier (PostHog)To count how the app is used, without your wordsYes, in the UK, the EU, the EEA and Switzerland. Elsewhere, on unless you turn it off
Crash report files (Sentry), kept until they are sentTo find and fix faultsWe treat these as needed to keep the app working safely. Reports never contain your words

Coming: the app will ask for your analytics choice during setup, and you will be able to change it in Settings. Until then, phones in the UK, the EU, the EEA and Switzerland send no analytics at all.

Changes

In short: If we ever add a cookie, we'll ask first and show you what changed.

The change history below says what changed in each version. Ask us for any earlier version and we will send it. Questions: hello@wamemba.me.
