Kids’ quote apps compared: Cuote, Qeepsake, Kiddings and more

If you’ve decided the notes app on your phone isn’t cutting it anymore, you’ve probably found a handful of apps for keeping the funny things your kids say, and they all look sweet in their screenshots. They do different jobs, though. Here’s a plain comparison of six of them, ours included, so you can pick the one that fits how you actually live.

How we checked: every line about the other apps comes from that app’s own website, read on October 17, 2026. Where a site doesn’t say whether it does something, the table says “Not stated”, which means we couldn’t confirm it either way, not that the app can’t. Apps change, so check their sites too. Wamemba me is ours and is launching soon; its column is the app as it launches.

What each one is best at

Cuote

Built just for kids’ sayings: it saves up to 30 seconds of your child saying it, alongside the words and their age, and makes a yearly book. Its site mentions iPhone only.

Qeepsake

A journal more than a sayings app. Its big idea is a daily question by text message, matched to your child’s age, and lots of parents love the nudge. It covers pregnancy through the school years and prints books. Sayings are one kind of entry among many.

Kiddings

A private journal for “the funny questions, little quotes, proud moments and everyday stories”, sorted by your child’s age, with gentle prompts and a print-ready PDF when you want one. On iPhone and Android.

Keeps

A family journal with a quick-add widget for quotes, photos and voice notes, and the whole family can join for one subscription. On iPhone and the web.

Little Hoots

Quotes, conversations and stories, typed in and turned into styled designs to save, share or print on things like magnets and mugs. iPhone only, per its site.

Wamemba me

This is ours, so read this part knowing that. Wamemba me is launching soon, and it’s made for the moment itself. One press from the Lock Screen, the Action button or Back Tap (or a quick tile on Android), say back what your little one just said, or type it, and your words turn into text. When they say it again, you can keep their voice too. A back-and-forth? Tap who said each line, even with three siblings in the car. Add what was happening, or skip it. It’s saved with the date and their exact age.

Share a saying and the family gets a link in WhatsApp or Messages that opens in the browser, in big, easy words, with no app or login needed for Grandma. Or send it as a card, or save it to Photos. Every month there’s a round-up with all your children together, and on December 1, Wamemba me Wrapped: their year, in their own words.

What we promise: download every saying whenever you like, keep reading and downloading everything if you stop paying, no ads, and we never train AI on your family’s words. What we don’t do: printed books.

How to choose

Think about where you are when they say the funny thing, and what you want in ten years.

  • You want to be prompted and get a printed journal: Qeepsake.
  • You want a full family journal, sayings and photos and voice notes together: Kiddings or Keeps.
  • You want pretty designs to print and post: Little Hoots.
  • You want to keep the saying in the second it happens, with their voice, the date and their exact age, and a link Grandma can open: Wamemba me.

If you love paper, none of these replaces a quote book in your own handwriting. Plenty of parents keep the everyday sayings in an app and copy the best into a book once a season. More on that in a kids’ quote journal: paper or app, and on what any app should do in the best app for keeping the funny things your kids say.
